Chelsea - Sky Sports FootballChelsea look like a team that needs a cutting edge up top, despite spending 120million on goal poacher Romelu Lukaku this summer. The Blues have failed to score in consecutive games this season, as reports suggest Chelsea aren’t utilising their star man to the best of his abilities.

Lukaku bagged 64goals in two seasons under former manager Antonio Conte at Inter and Conte hasn’t hesitated to make his feelings known about how Chelsea have not gotten the best out of the goal poacher. Chelsea lost at the Bridge against reigning champions Manchester City in the Premier League and that loss was followed by another loss to Juventus in Turin as the blues produced another lackluster performance in attack.

With young ballers Mason Mount and Reece James out due to injury, Chelsea seem to be struggling to get the ball up field as fast as they usually will.

Key Midfielder Ngolo Kante has struggled with his fitness lately and will miss out on their trip to St Mary’s this weekend due to a positive COVID-19 status. Kai Havertz and Hakim Ziyech look out of rhythm this season.

Chelsea are solid at the back but will need another big signing in their attack to pose any true threat up front and challenge for the PL title.
The winter transfer window could prove to be decisive for The Blues.
