It was no doubt a big match-up in the race for a top four finish on the Premier League as Chelsea played away from home against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool who had lost four previous home games.
Chelsea looked to continue their impressive run of games and that was exactly what they did as they got a 1-0 victory through a goal their young English Man Mason Mount. The loss piled more misery on the Reds, as it now means they have lost 5 consecutive home games in the EPL and are now 7th on the EPL Table. Liverpool struggled to create chances despite having more possession, the reigning champions of England seem to be far off a winning side, as major injury setbacks have affected them majorly.
The game at Anfield was not without VAR controversy as Timo Werner’s goal got cancelled in the 25th minute and VAR failed to look into a potential penalty call against Chelsea.
