Manchester City played away to Everton at Goodison Park, looking to extend their run of 16 consecutive wins and that was exactly what they did as Pep’s men secured a 3-1 victory over the Tofees.
City struck first through youngster Phil Foden, Everton responded as Brazilian Richarlison found the back of the net, but it wasn’t to be for the Tofees as City took the lead again through winger Riyad Mahrez and Bernardo Silva scored the third goal to secure maximum points for City.
Manchester City are now 10 points clear of 2nd placed Manchester United on the PL table, more good news for the Cityzens as playmaker Kevin De Bruyne made his return from an injury lay off and came on in the 80th minute of the game. Pep’s men now shift focus to a match with the Gunners at the Emirates on Sunday.
Another PL match-up saw Burnley and Fulham play out a 1-1 draw.
