The UEFA Champions League Resumes
The return of the UEFA Champions League has gotten football fans excited as the knockout stages begin tomorrow when Leipzig take on Liverpool, while Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain square off at the Camp Nou.
Wednesday sees Porto host Juventus, while Sevilla face Borussia Dortmund. Fans have got exciting fixtures to look forward to in the following week as holders Bayern play away to Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico, Atletico Madrid are forced to play Chelsea in a neutral ground at Bucharest due to Spain’s travelling restrictions on England as a measure to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Last year’s quarter finalists Atalanta take on the most successful UCL team Real Madrid, the Spanish giants endured a scare but interestingly made it into the round of 16, while Borussia M’gladbach play a Manchester City side that seem unbeatable at the moment, Pep’s men currently sit top of the PL and will look to improve on what was a disappointing exit from the competition last year.
The UEFA Champions League knockout stages always brings lots of drama, passion and goals, football fans can expect nothing short of that as the upcoming fixtures seem exciting.
